A long known traditional history of medicinal plants, heilkräuter, spices and herbal remedies very well known to ayurveda in India. But however, these very important values of various medicinal plants, herbs and spices as herbal remedies is being lost due to lack of awareness of the people, and various other factors such as deforestation and land waste. All of this is generally having various bad effects such as many valuable medicinal herbs are getting rarer day by day and much precious information is lost. If we make less pollution, then we can maintain more ecological balance that will only add to the happiness of humankind. Hence we should make a pledge so as to preserve the knowledge of various medicinal plants, herbs, spices and herbal remedies, which the humankind has received from the older generations, for posterity.
Herbal remedies have a very old history.Before modern medicine it has very long from when people has fallen sick and has suffered from illness.Herbal remedies were there before these modern medicines came to light which have now overcome the usage of herbal remedies.Also there are many medicinal herbs and spices that finds place in day-to-day uses.Out of them many used as herbal remedies.In fact various spices from various herbs are used in cooking. These spices have also been put to other uses such as curing of some common ailments like that of common cold, cough, etc.
Though it is always good to know all the features that a common herb provides with it is also better to always inform your healthcare professional before taking any of the herbal remedies or consuming large quantity of medicinal herbs or spices as medicinal product.By that way you can counter any side effects of overdoses of any herbs if there be any.

Generally an heilpflanzen is a person who has dedicated his life for the economic and medicinal uses of various plants. He is generally a person who is skilled in the arts of harvesting and collection of medicinal plants. Herbalist is a term that is generally associated with the trends of ancient culture such as a Chinese herbalist or an ayurvedic herbalist. They are the people who are trained or skilled in the dispensing of herbal prescriptions such as traditional Chinese herb doctor in first case, or prescriptions in the ayurvedic tradition. Simply considering all the facts an herbalist is a person who is skilled or trained in the therapeutic use of medicinal plants.
As said above herbalist depends on the trends that a person follows, hence the general education of herbalists varies considerably in different areas of the world. Different types of herbalists such as Lay herbalists and traditional indigenous medicine people generally rely upon the apprenticeship and recognition of the trainee from their communities against of formal schooling. Hence to be an herbalist one has to do an apprenticeship from one of the above and traditional herbalists. Also there are some countries in which countries formalized training and other minimum education standards do exist. But still this type of training is not necessarily uniform within or between countries.
There are many herbalists who engage themselves in wild crafting or in cultivation of herbs. They also engaged them in diagnosis and treatment of various conditions or general dispensing of herbal medication. The herbal traditions depend on various analyses of the clients that include treatment of the patient instead of the disease.
